INTEREST OF RESEARCH I: DEvelopment of ANTI-AGING DRUGS

We’re interested in the molecular mechanisms of aging in general. Previously, Xie joined this area by inventing the first microfluidic chip for dissecting mother and daughter cells. Before that, scientists have to manually clap the cells under a microscope.
The microfluidic chip enable us screening drugs that’s able to extend lifespan of yeast. Through this approach we will find a bunch of drugs those are potential to extend lifespan of humans.  

INTEREST OF RESEARCH II: NEW ALGORITHM for METABOLIC ANALYSIS
We’re trying to intergrate the genome-scale data to the Flux Balance Analysis model by developing new mathematical algorithms. 

INTEREST OF RESEARCH III: DRUG DISCOVERY THROUGH SYSTEMS BIOLOGY APPROACHES
We’re integrating systems biology and drug discoveries.
